Synopsis

Zar is a set of rituals that mixes certain beliefs with the arts of music, singing and dancing. It aims at spiritual healing for those who believe in it. The Sudanese and Egyptian Zar believe in the existence of masters (invisible spirits), while the Sufi people (Abul Gheit) believe in the supernatural abilities of saints.
