Synopsis

Through the intimate monologue of an immigrant’s child, “Children of the Diaspora” poetically explores Afro-descendant identity, memory, and belonging. Director Sabrina Onana weaves pride, wounds, and healing into a cinematic journey, urging diasporic youth to embrace their Africanness while navigating cross-cultural heritage, postcolonial legacies, and universal human questions of existence.
